The official party included prominent figures like Mr. Lyn Davies, Chairman of the School Board, and Mr. Neville Lyngcoln, Principal. On the same occasion, the Yarra Café also opened. Music for the Neville Lyngcoln Senior Student Centre was provided by talented students, Matthew Latimer (YOG 2004), James Simpson (YOG 2005), Sarah Horner (YOG 2005) and Damien Ling (YOG 2005). Generous support for the building and furnishing came from the Yarra Parents & Friends organisation and the Fete Team, with Jan Mackie and Diana Brook representing them at the opening. This centre stands as a testament to collaborative efforts and community support.

Fun Fact: It became famous by the surrounding community at Yarra School Fetes for the Devonshire teas and Yarra Foundation Silent Auctions.
